Each faculty has a week for its own subject. Science was first; next will be English! These weeks are filled with fun games, activities, contests, and the week ends with a culmination program where a speaker comes & talks about the importance of the subject and education as a whole. There was a quiz bee, a word game, an exercise demonstration (to Justin Bieber music of course), and a poster contest. This was a fun time for the students; they put a lot of work into it & their participation was very impressive. As I am the one in charge of the yearbook this year, I captured as many pictures of the events as I could!
Friday was the culmination of science week and also the welcome party for the 9th grade students and teachers (Me, Liz, Naoki & Angela). Usually the welcome party has its own day and a separate celebration, but for some reason they smashed it in with science week this year. Regardless, there was cake, delicious food, and we started our weekend early!
